STL 400P

The STL 400 P is a full range passive loudspeaker that offers 320W + 80W RMS output capability. Equipped with a 12” woofer and 1” horn, it makes an ideal system component for a wide range of live music applications. The STL 400P has 2x Speakon connectors and also comes with a 100 mm bored flange on the bottom.
The STL loudspeaker series combines professional features and state-of-the-art performance with the most advanced technology. Each element, from custom made loudspeakers and oversized amplifiers to cabinet construction, has been carefully considered and designed to ensure optimum performance and maximum sound quality in every situation.

The series consists of 15 models, including 3 passive and 3 active satellites, 4 passive and 4 active subs, and one active stage monitor. These have been designed for use either as mobile systems in live and DJ applications, or as fixed systems for use in small-medium sized public venues, clubs, conference rooms and theatres.

Powered models are endowed with the Physiocon2TM processor, delivering high fidelity sound and a huge processing power.  Another exceptional feature of the series is the new processor-controlled TSSTM (Total Speaker Safety). This provides real-time control of the internal amplification, protecting it from incoming signal peaks, yet keeping it at maximum efficiency without any risk of signal breakup. Other features include amazing frequency response and impeccable long-range audio coverage across the full frequency spectrum.

The special shape of the satellite cabinets means that they can easily be used as stage monitors if required. The satellite’s HF section uses a 1” compression driver with titanium diaphragm. This provides greater reliability and sound brilliance than those made from traditional materials. The wide dispersion horns provide maximum coverage without distortion. All woofers are custom made to SR specifications, offering greater power handling and efficiency. Neodymium, used on the woofer’s magnet, guarantees high quality acoustic performance whilst, at the same time, reducing the total weight of the cabinet. STL passive models are equipped with crossover filters made from ed components for optimal frequency distribution. A sophisticated electronic protection circuit prevents overload of the HF driver. All passive models are available with 8 Ohm impedance.

Cabinets are made from 13-layer birch plywood, which combines light weight with strength and high durability. They are available in either black scratch-resistant paint, or elegant wood colour finishes. Components are protected by an exclusively designed 1.5 mm metal grid, or by foam. Each model includes two metal handles and a metal speaker stand adaptor.
